Pinkard Construction, a general contractor serving Colorado for over 60 years, held the fourth annual Careers in Construction Golf Tournament at The Country Club at Castle Pines and raised over $92,000. The resulting 37 scholarships allow the recipients to attend the private K-12 school of their choice.
Pinkard President, Tony Burke, says he sees an opportunity to nurture the next generation of the Colorado workforce and hopes that these scholarships provide enhanced access to private education for more Colorado students.

Erik Billinger, Western Region President for ACE Colorado, said that ACE Scholarships is proud to be the beneficiary of Pinkard’s 4th Annual Careers in Construction Golf Tournament.

By providing partial tuition scholarships for lower-income students to attend the K-12 private school of their choice, ACE scholars are graduating high school, prepared for college and a fulfilling career.”
Jayce Wynn, an ACE Scholarship alumnus, attended the tournament and spoke about how the program allowed him to broaden his education and eventually secure a full-ride scholarship to CU Boulder, where he is currently studying Biomedical Engineering.
“I come from a single-parent household with three older brothers,” said Wynn. “Without ACE and sponsors like Pinkard, none of this would be possible. My mom worked very hard but putting 4 children though a private education on an hourly salary is virtually impossible.”
